Crisis Specialist

Summary:
The Crisis Specialist (CS) provides proactive and responsive support to individuals in high-stress situations. The CS leads crisis management, employing deterrence strategies, suicide prevention, mediation, behavior de-escalation, and coordination with stakeholders (e.g., police, families). They assist Direct Support Professionals and ensure follow-up on mandated reporting.

Experience:

Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Summary:
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities gain independence and engage with their communities. Key responsibilities include daily living support, transportation assistance, community integration, rights advocacy, emotional support, safety maintenance, and documentation.

Home and Community Habilitation Team Leader
Location: Easton, PA & Surrounding Areas
Employment Type: Full-time, part-time, and potential weekends.
Summary:
The Home and Community Habilitation Team Leader guides and supports program staff within Lehigh Valley Adult Services’ Home Health and Waiver divisions. Responsibilities include ensuring a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment; assisting clients with daily living activities; providing on-call support; and coordinating with families and other stakeholders. This role requires leadership in team meetings, client support meetings, and compliance with policies and regulations. Key tasks include scheduling, training, and documentation.

Clearance in FBI fingerprint, PA Criminal Background, and other screenings
